Turn On the POS Add-on

What the Point of Sale add-on includes and costs, where to buy it, and what happens to counter access if it lapses.

Point of Sale is a paid add-on. It works on every plan, including Free, and it is bought from the same Add-ons tab as your other add-ons. Opening /pos or the counter pages never activates a subscription by itself.

What the POS add-on includes

ItemWhat you get
POS (base)Counter billing for the store: 1 register, 2 cashier seats, and one counter pack. Khata (udhaar), returns and the day summary are included.
PriceRs 499 per month, or Rs 4,990 per year (ten months' price).
Extra POS registerOne more billing register, Rs 199 per month. You add it as a quantity.
POS cashier seatOne more PIN cashier beyond the 2 included, Rs 149 per month. Cashier seats do not use your plan's Users allowance.

Always confirm the price and billing cycle on the billing screen before you pay; that screen is the authority if a price changes. Counter packs and other counter add-ons (gift cards, Tally export, QR table ordering, customer profiles) are separate add-ons with their own pages in this section.

Availability at launch

The POS add-on is only listed in Add-ons once it is switched on for sale. If you do not see an entry named POS, it is not yet available to purchase on your store; ask the platform team instead of using a workaround.

Buy the add-on

Open Add-ons

In the classic sidebar open Settings → Billing & Plan → Add-ons. In the new sidebar open Billing & plan in the finance group, then Add-ons. You can also go directly to /settings/billing?tab=addons.

Choose POS and a billing cycle

Select the POS add-on, choose monthly or annual billing, and complete the payment. See Billing & Finance for how add-on payments and renewals work.

Add registers or seats if you need them

Buy Extra POS register for each additional counter and POS cashier seat for each cashier beyond the 2 included. Both are quantity add-ons on top of POS.

Reload and continue setup

Reload the admin panel so the plan is read again, then follow Get Started with Point of Sale to connect a device and sign in with a PIN.

What you see while the add-on is off or lapsed

  • Counter settings (/settings/pos) shows the notice Counter access is unavailable or inactive. Saved settings can be reviewed here. You can read your saved rules, but every control is disabled until the add-on is active again. See POS Settings.
  • Counter sales are paused; past bills and obligations stay accessible. The verified store owner can review a historical bill on its original retained register and use supported whole paid-bill voids and permitted item-by-item returns with a current quote and required owner authority. Exchange payouts require an active register. See Returns & Exchanges.
  • Current add-on access and a device's saved offline permission are separate. You can configure an entitled store before binding a device; an old device permission does not enable settings or new sales after access ends. Sign in online again when the bound counter needs renewed authority.
  • If you reduce cashier seats, cashiers over the new limit are locked, not deleted, newest first. They are restored, oldest first, when seats come back.
